Let me know what you think.Limited time offer subject to change. It contains screenshots of what it should look like: īecause the thread was from 2 years ago, I thought someone might have been able to find a solution in the meantime. For the user in that thread, the remaining mute time string was 'null' instead of nonexistent (as in my case). I have looked on Google, but the only things I could find are workarounds using your own timer, but I do not think this is nice, because the time in the settings app and the real mute time may differ which is not preferable for consistency's sake.

So in short, the 'Mute for' label did change to the new value but the actual mute time stayed at the value it was before and the 'Time remaining' label disappeared. This label is different from the 'Mute for' label which should show the total mute time regardless of of how long the device has already been muted for. It may be useful to note that the 'time remaining' label that normally shows the remaining mute time is now empty, gone or invisible. When changing this setting using the Custom Setting action in Tasker, it successfully changes the mute time visually, but when I measure the mute time, it was still the mute time I set manually through the settings app. I found the name of the mute duration by using the find option in Tasker. It also cancels the mute after I unlock my screen during the time I wake up. It sets my phone to silent mode while remembering the previous mode, turn on temporary mute, should set the mute duration, and send a notification where I can cancel the mute. I've been setting up an automated way of turning on temporary mute on my phone.
